In the very first Wicked movie, fans of the musical got to see Elphaba as a kid– and, as exposed in a brand-new teaser, they’ll now get to see little Glinda when Wicked: For Great strikes theaters in November.
In a sneak peek shared by Universal Pictures on Wednesday (Oct. 22), an elementary-school-age Glinda appears in a gown in her signature pink shade while informing somebody off electronic camera, “I wish to be wonderful– genuine.”
The video then reveals scenes of adult Glinda– played by Ariana Grande– welcoming her brand-new function as Glinda the Great, working as a spokes-witch of sorts for The Wizard of Oz and his program. We see her ceremoniously placing on her tiara and screening out her flying bubble, which we find out is run by a pedal.
