Ariana Grande is admiring her more youthful self.
In an interview with Australia’s Struck 104.7 Canberra, the “We Can’t Associate” vocalist was asked why she picked to utilize her “full-grown name,” a.k.a. her birth name Ariana Grande-Butera, in the credits of Wicked “Technically, it’s my little lady name! It’s technically little Ari’s name,” she reacted. “It simply seems like this experience was such a homecoming for me. In Glinda style, Grande commemorated her character on the yellow brick carpet in a customized pink Vivienne Westwood gown including a tulle skirt, corset-style corset, a puffed sleeve and starburst decorations– in tribute to the outfit Billie Burke used as Glinda in 1939’s The Wizard of Oz
On The Other Hand, Cynthia Erivo, who depicts Elphaba in the extremely prepared for movie, used a black sculptural gown by Louis Vuitton, coupled with a choker decorated with a silver lion.
