The Los Angeles Dodgers introduced a $1 million donation to the Elton John AIDS Basis throughout one of many star’s weekend performances at Dodger Stadium, the final North American cease on his last tour.
The group’s principal proprietor, Mark Walter, and Dodgers co-owner Billie Jean King presented a symbolic giant check at Saturday evening’s (Nov. 19) present.
John thanked the group for its generosity and referred to as Dodger Stadium “an iconic venue which has meant a lot to me and my profession.”
John made his 1970 U.S. debut at a neighborhood nightclub, the Troubadour, and surged to stardom, famously showing at Dodger Stadium in sequined Dodgers uniforms in 1975.
His basis is an impartial group devoted to ending AIDS.
