Aaron Carter followers are calling out the Recording Academy for not honoring the late singer on the 2023 Grammys.
Throughout the Feb. 5 broadcast of the awards present, viewers observed that Aaron—who died on Nov. 5 on the age of 34—was not included in its in memoriam phase. Whereas Aaron was acknowledged by the Recording Academy in a listing shared on-line previous to the ceremony, lots of his supporters took to social media to air their grievances over the onstage omission.
“Disgrace on the grammys 2023!” one Twitter person wrote. “He was so multitalented! A pop icon. How disheartening.”
In the meantime, one other fan tweeted, “Aaron Carter was not within the in memoriam… I simply. Cannot.”
A 3rd follower referred to as the exclusion “disrespectful and inhumane,” including, “we love you aaron.”
The in memoriam tribute featured performances from Kacey Musgraves, Quavo, Maverick Metropolis Music, Sheryl Crow, Mick Fleetwood and Bonnie Raitt. Among the many late stars honored in a slideshow proven onscreen included Migos rapper Takeoff, nation legend Loretta Lynn, Fleetwood Mac star Christine McVie, actress-singer Olivia Newton-John and guitarist Jeff Beck.
