Catastrophe struck hard in the Dominican Republic when a bar roofing came crashing down on partygoers– leaving 18 dead and more than 120 hurt in the mayhem.
The frightening minute was captured on cam– one minute, fans were vibing to merengue star Rubby Pérez onstage at the popular Jet Set bar in Santo Domingo … the next, the roofing drastically collapsed, plunging the location into darkness and panic.
Pérez was pulled from the debris, and his supervisor, Enrique Paulino— who supposedly had blood on his chest– stated all of it took place so quickly, he believed it was an earthquake … however he handled to toss himself into a corner in the nick of time.
Previous MLB star relief pitcher Octavio Dotel likewise endured the catastrophe
The catastrophe is huge, with Nelsy Cruz, the guv of Monte Cristi and the sibling of previous MLB All-Star Nelson Cruz, amongst the dead, according to regional media.
Rescue efforts are still in progress to look for survivors– and Juan Manuel Méndez, director of the Center of Emergency situation Operations, stated they think lots of people are still alive and they will not stop up until everyone is taken out from under the debris.
