George C. Marshall, a The second world war leader and Nobel Peace Reward winner, was born upon this day in history, Dec. 31, 1880.

George Catlett Marshall was best understood for his service as chief of personnel to 2 various presidents from 1939 to 1945.

Amongst a number of military posts, Marshall went on to function as leader of the Eighth Infantry in 1933 and as senior trainer to the Illinois National Guard from 1933 to 1936.

From 1936 to 1938, Marshall worked as leader, with the rank of brigadier basic, of the 5th Infantry Brigade.

Marshall accepted the position with the General Personnel in Washington, D.C., in July 1938.

In January 1947, Marshall signed up with President Harry Truman’s cabinet as secretary of state. He stayed because post for 2 years.
