Archaeologists at William & & Mary University in Virginia discovered a piece of American history connected to the earliest enduring schoolhouse for Black kids.

The structure comes from the Williamsburg Bray School, which taught mainly enslaved trainees in the 1760s utilizing a spiritual structure to validate slavery.
